Maejima, Takashi

I transferred from the Drug Discovery Research Group in KOWA’s Tokyo laboratory to CICS this May 2015. At CICS, I‘ll be part of the macrophage Group, focusing on inflammation due to atherosclerosis. In the Tokyo lab, I mainly focused on signal transduction analysis using one of HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, statins, pitavastatin. From 2005-2008 and 2010-2012, I collaborated with Professor Tatsuhiko Kodama and we showed pitavastatin regulated gene expression via changing chromatin conformation. I obtained my PhD in 2008 from the University of Tokyo.
