Mukai, Shin
Dr. Shin Mukai is a chemical biologist/immunologist who can straddle the boundary between synthetic organic chemistry and biology/immunology. He believes in the potential of those who have a burning passion to change the world. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Chemistry at Kyoto University and completed his PhD in Bio-Organic Chemistry at The University of Western Australia. Then, he conducted his postdoctoral study at the Keio University School of Medicine, where he acquired various skills in biology/immunology. In November 2018, he joined CICS as a postdoctoral research fellow. His goals at CICS are to make the most of his skill set and to acquire new skills and knowledge for his research career. He is aiming to one day open a lab of his own to further contribute to the scientific and medical communities using his unique blend of expertise.
