Hoekstra, Joost
Joost Hoekstra joined CICS in August 2022 and is a fourth-year medical student at Utrecht University, The Netherlands, and is doing his master’s thesis in Elena Aikawa’s group. His project focuses on therapeutic target validation for calcific aortic valve disease via histopathological techniques, various molecular techniques and proteomics analyses. In his free time, he enjoys running, playing basketball, and cooking.
