Schmalzridt, Jonathan
Jonathan Schmalzridt is a fifth-year medical student at Heidelberg University, Germany, doing a collaborative project in Elena Aikawa’s group at CICS. This project aims to combine proteomic and histopathological evaluation of a mitral valve regurgitation model. For his project he works in collaboration with Florian Leuschner’s group at the German Center for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK) in Heidelberg. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, making music and running. He joined CICS in March 2022 and his research is supported by the Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds MD Fellowship.
